Cable Internet at High Speeds
If you have a cable modem or are looking to find out what it is to see if you should have a cable modem in your home than you are in the right article.
Cable modem devices are enabled to hook you up to a PC through a local cable TV line. This alows you to access internet with super high speeds attached.
If you have dial-up simply asking a friend whom has cable will tell you its time to change to high speed cable. Cable being up to 50 times faster than dial-up makes this race no competion. However the price difference between them is noticeable but it won’t break the bank.
As far as high speeds go you get what you pay for. Most get high speed cable, or DSL which are about at the same level in speeds and services however an upside to cable is that it’s always connected to the internet where DSL is not.
There are two connections with the cable modem: the first is to the wall outlet for cable, and the second is either done to a PC or to a box for the TV. This is all done in accordance to what you have and what you prefer, if you’re not sure you can always ask the company installing it for you and they will let you know of the more logical choice. More than usual, the cable modem attaches to a standard Ethernet card in the computer.
If you are in an area where you cannot get or receive high speed cable or DSL then you may want to look into satellite internet as it can be accessed in more regions of the world than any other internet service.
