In What Way Has Homework Transformed For Youngsters Since The Birth Of The Search Engine?

As a youngster, I would be given homework: one week, to be finished the following week, after I had gone to the public library, reading through reference books. I would also ask my family friends or other people who may have insight into any one topic for their help in the task.

I noticed a big difference when my kids were set projects. The village where we lived had what I would describe as a part time library. It wasn’t always open when the kids arrived home from school. They were, however, given projects which involved research and perhaps two days in which to complete it. Tutors were assuming that all the pupils would have access to the internet via a PC at home and would therefore be able to research speedily.

Search engines became a part of our daily lives. Medieval musical instruments, major sports personalities, historical information, were all searched for. Sometimes because search results then were somewhat hit-and-miss, due to incorrect search engine placement, it was difficult to find the specific information which was needed. An seo company was able to, in the early days, hide lots of text in their code which would make sure their client’s web site appeared in the first page of search results, but often this site had no bearing on the searcher’s needs and the experience could be trying for the searcher.

Search engines now have become much more sophisticated and search engine positioning is based on a number of factors. It is no longer possible to hide lots of text in any web site in order to achieve a good Search Engine Placement. The web site has to have lots of levels of relevant information to achieve a top place in search engine positioning.

Companies and other web site owners now look to employ an SEO Company which can assist them in ensuring they are getting the appropriate hits on their web site without confusing the searchers. Children can today, therefore, be more certain that when they are undertaking research for homework, they will find suitable information much more quickly than ever before.

It is now the case that in the UK the majority of kids do have access to a PC in their house, in reference libraries or in school, teachers are much more comfortable about expecting this speedy turnaround in projects from youngsters.

Mams and dads and other adults can relax aware that kids have the ability to research and find whatever information they need for a project rapidly. The youngsters just need to ensure that from the information they have found they take notes and then write their assignment, in their own words, to be certain that they are not going to be accused of plagiarism.
